This was the final location for our extraordinary day trip! We visited a waterfall on private property and had permission to do so. All we had to do was find a gate…and we did…eventually! This guy was a trooper, scrambling over rocks throughout the day and willingly went wherever he was asked to go! He was having a bit of a break before we headed off and I thought I wonder if horses ever think they might be left behind!! He wasn’t!

One of my favourite things to do on my visit to Hestaland was to watch the horses in the corrals. It wasn’t hard to be there for a long time and often when I checki my watch, I realized that more than an hour had disappeared and I hadn’t even realized it!

Each morning, the horses of Hestaland are brought in from the pastures so they can be groomed and saddled up for their adventures - a trek, a lesson for a young rider or maybe training with participants from around the world who arrive to learn from the head trainer, Gudmar.
