An Evolving Perspective:

A Digital Exhibit

Exploring my photo library, one image at a time.

For a long time, I thought my website needed to be a place to sell prints. As I looked back through my decades of work, however, what I realized was that what I really wanted to do was to share some of the stories and adventures with you.

This is a digital exhibit -a place to see my favourite collections, one image at a time. No pressure - just a shared love for the horse, the light and the abstract.

My Photography Journey…

Monochrome Horse

Monochrome photography will always bring back memories of my darkroom.

Textured Equine

Textures and colour helped create a new look for my horse images.

Abstract Expressions

Multiple exposures in camera use motion, light and patterns to create abstracts.

When art becomes a conversation…

She wore gray
like indifference.

Then -
a gust of November,
rust, ochre,
autumn’s last leaves.

She danced.
Alive,
longing to become
flame.

Dianne Hammond, thank you for the poem! Such an unexpected treasure.

I used to think photography was about what I saw.
Now I realize it’s about being present.

The Artist’s Journal…

This was the one of the first images that changed the direction of my horse photography.

I loved how various brushes created this soft, old world feel. I had it printed as a four by four foot square in canvas. After a day exploring in and around the back roads of London, it was like having a friend there to greet me when I got home!

Moving to a new city where you know maybe one or two people, was easier knowing I could meet all sorts of people especially with my camera in my hands. Facebook helped me keep in touch with everyone.
