Light, Texture, and Form:

Exploring the Equine and the Abstract

Welcome to my collection of images chosen for this digital exhibit..

Which gallery will you choose first?

Equine or abstract?

The Monochrome Horse

My journey began in a darkroom, and returning to monochrome felt like coming home. It brought me back to the basics of interpreting light and shadow that I first learned in the 80s. To me, black and white photography is timeless.

Textured Equine

An exploration of layers and textures added that unique factor to the images I was creating. I wanted to make images that had an ‘old world’ feel to them and textures helped create the mood and atmosphere I was looking for.

Abstract Impressions

In this collection, I learned to let go of control and realize the ‘imperfect’ can become ‘perfect” just by taking a chance and allowing the energy and spirit of the moment be found rather than a recording of what was there.

Creating this exhibit has been a wonderful stroll down memory lane.

It has made me appreciate every step froward and every step back.

I realize now the backwards steps were taking me some place better and were just what I needed although I didn’t feel so at the time.

Thank you for stopping by!

Updating this website might be one of the most rewarding adventures I’ve had!

The Guestbook and Reflections

I created a guestbook where you can comment on which images resonated with you. Whether it was a specific image or an overall feel for the exhibit, I’d love for you to leave a note by following the link below.
