Shipwreck Beach

Shipwreck Beach, Newfoundland

Arriving at Shipwreck beach, it was surprising to realize that there wasn’t an actual shipwreck! Bits and pieces of rusted metal from the wrecks were everywhere. There were so many photos waiting to be seen.

The few tourists that happened by, seemed puzzled when they asked what were we photographing. “Um, rocks!,” I told them. Showing them the images on the back of my camera didn’t seem to help them understand. They would just smile politely and leave.

I remember this beach vividly not only because of my fascination with the shipwreck aspect, but also because my tripod fell over and a lever broke. As it was a fairly new tripod, and my old tripod had fallen a few times without breaking, I was a bit annoyed until I realized my other tripod had never fallen on rocks!

Newfoundland - the perfect paradise!
